Joel E. Hausman

Attorney Hausman received his undergraduate (B.A., 1981} and law degrees (J.D., 1984) from the University of Pittsburgh. While attending the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, Mr. Hausman was a member of the law school’s first place team at the Niagara International Law Moot Court competition sponsored by the Canada-United States Law Institute. Admitted to the practice in Pennsylvania’s state courts, and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania (1984), Attorney Hausman has also been admitted to the bar of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit (1994). Since joining Apple and Apple, P.C. in 1986, Mr. Hausman has concentrated his practice in the field of creditor’s rights, both commercial and retail (consumer collections) personally litigating thousands of cases in dozens of counties in the Pennsylvania. Attorney Hausman has also lectured on the subject of creditor’s rights and collection practice for Dun and Bradstreet and Lorman Business Education Services, and is a Martindale-Hubbell peer rated attorney.
